AIA Colorado South is seeking an AIA-member architect to represent the architectural community by assisting the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department in its efforts to update the commercial building codes to the 2009 International Building Code (IBC).

The intent is to select two experienced architects who can effectively represent the membership and community's best interests with regard to commercial building code requirements. Respondents/nominees should have the following minimum qualifications:

• Be a licensed Colorado architect
• Be an AIA member in good standing
• Have substantial experience with commercial construction and building codes
• Have extensive experience with the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department

Nominations should be forwarded to Director of Local Chapters Heidi Gordon no later than Friday, April 18. Please include applicable experience and qualifications for considerations. The local board will select two representatives at the executive meeting, scheduled for Monday, April 21.
