Colorado Urban Green Conference
Join AIA Denver, the Urban Land Institute of Colorado and the University of Colorado for the Colorado Urban Green Conference on Friday, April 18, from 7:30 a.m. – noon.
This conference will include talks from leaders in sustainable development, highlight local Colorado projects that integrate green technology and demonstrate ways to build more sustainably and make a profit in the process. Conference highlights include:
Featured keynote speaker – Doug Farr, AIA, principal of Farr Associates Architecture (Chicago). Farr, the author of Sustainable Urbanism, is an architect and urban designer. He has served as co-chair of the Environmental Task Force of the Congress for the New Urbanism, chair of the AIA Chicago Committee on the Environment, and chair of the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED for Neighborhood Development (LEED-ND) Core Committee.
Featured panelists – Josh Radoff, principal of YRG Sustainability Consultants (Boulder, Colo.); Stephen Irvin, co-owner of Namasté Solar Electric (Boulder, Colo.); Eric Wittenberg, president, McStain Neighborhoods (Louisville, Colo.); and Ben Wright, principal of ccIntellect (Denver).
Featured case studies – Prologis (Denver); New Belgium Brewery (Fort Collins, Colo.); and Riverclay Condominiums (Denver). A project tour of the Riverclay Condominiums will be available following the conference, from 12:30 – 2 p.m.
